Hello and Welcome to my blog and my site! 

You are looking at the first (of many) blog entries that I will put on this site.  These entries will have a lot to do with the subject at hand, which is development in ASP.NET.  This of course will include all kinds of information about topics related to ASP.NET also, like the .net framework, services, servers and languages as well as things going on in the world of ASP.NET.

My bent is with Visual Basic.net, and so you will find more information about this language for ASP.NET, however, the cool thing about .NET is that the concepts that are discussed are not language dependent.  Choice of language is now a life style choice and not something dictated by the problem at hand.

The site that you are in is being published through the DotNetNuke portal environment.  This is an open sourced portal that was written in Visual Basic.net and contains the entire soure code.  You will find in my site quite a lot of information on DotNetNuke hosting and development as well as many modules.  Since we are using many of the modules that are out there we will also offer our unique perspective to the use of the modules as well as rate them.  Over time this site will become very usful to anyone that wants to work in ASP.NET in general and DotNetNuke as well.
